Lotto
Colourway: JADE
PERSIAN HANDKNOTTED / Handspun wool / One pile height
The name Lotto refers to carpets that appeared in the artwork of 16th century painter Lorenzo Lotto. The designs are characterised by a lacy arabesque but here Jenny has rubbed the design back to just the outlines of the shapes. The use of just two colours in 100% hand spun wool gives this historic design a very modern update.
Jenny’s transitional designs allow her passion and respect for history to meet with her eye for contemporary design. These designs are where old meets new, where traditional patterns and motifs are rubbed back and reinvented with strong colour and texture building a bridge between classic and contemporary styles.
