A beautifully balanced room tied together by the perfect rug can evoke an emotional response like no other. Her design philosophy is one of creating respect for the weavers and sustainable business.

Jenny Jones is an Internationally Award Winning Rug Designer. Our luxurious handmade designs are exclusive to Jenny Jones Rugs and are regarded as “Art On The Floor”. All rugs are crafted by hand using the highest quality hand-spun wool and pure silk. With over 400 rugs available at our Perth and Melbourne Showrooms, and the option of creating your own custom bespoke designs, Jenny Jones and her team of experienced designers will find the perfect rug for any project.

Our story

Jenny discovered her passion for the art of rug making in 1995 whilst living in Turkey with her young family. Exploring the famous Turkish rug markets, she began hand selecting pieces to bring into Australia. Growing with the movement towards contemporary interior design, in 2001 Jenny became one of the first rug designers in Australia to create contemporary hand knotted rugs.

She has since built her business around creating personal connections with clients to find the perfect rug for every project. Her contemporary works and modern day classics reinterpret traditional designs and bring them into the 21st century with the use of sophisticated colour and the highest quality production techniques. Jenny continues to be driven to create stunning bespoke designs and push boundaries in designs. With over 25 years in the industry, collections in the US and Asia, as well as numerous international awards, she continues to be recognised as one of the best contemporary rug designers in the world.

Jenny has a natural flair for colour and design. Early in her career Jenny worked as a buyer for Myer before launching her designer rugs business in 1995. Jenny’s love of travel enables her to stay current with the world fabric, interior and fashion trends. Her design philosophy is one of creating respect for the weavers and sustainable business.

Luke Jones

Managing Director, Melbourne

Being a son of Jenny’s, Luke has grown up around rugs since Jenny started trading and creating! Luke has a passion for excellent service and continually attains customer satisfaction. He is a creative at heart with an education in interior design and a wealth of experience for helping you select the right rug. Luke manages the JJR brand in Victoria and is the best point of contact on the East Coast of Australia for Jenny Jones.
