Australian Wattle

The new Australian Wattle was created as a bespoke design for the ballroom in Government House in Sydney. Jenny has been commissioned to create a series of uniquely Australian designs by her Excellency the Governor of NSW. To have her designs showcased in such a prestigious setting is an amazing recognition for Jenny and the art pieces she is creating.

The Golden Wattle depicted in Jenny’s design is the floral emblem of Australia, the feathery yellow plums the origins of our national colours of green and gold.

Jenny has brought the flowers to life with layers of hand carved pure silk and a stunning textural finish. Delicately carved pure silk captures the life and movement of these stunning flowers as well the many greens of nature’s colour palette.

The Wildflower rugs make beautiful wall tapestries as well as floor rugs and are true art pieces.
