Basketweave

The Basketweave design explores the timeless architecture of woven form, inspired by the ancient craft of basket making. Revisited from one of my earliest designs over 20 years ago, it is reinterpreted through a more structured, design-focused lens using natural fibers.

Through loop, soumak, and cut pile techniques in high and low relief, the piece builds a rhythmic, grid-like composition, creating depth, structure, and a sculptural presence. Both tactile and architectural, it brings a grounded, contemporary elegance to a space.
